Blog Post #19/13/2021 When I walked into Mr. Larges class the first day of my senior year I knew I wanted to do something I was passionate about. The more I thought about it I knew I wanted to do something with athletics. Me and two of my classmates who also felt passionate about the project started looking at past projects and we decided we would try too increase the involvement from the student body at athletic events and school pride. We decided we would do this using twitter and revamping a past project NPSN. NPSN stands for New Palestine Sports Network. We felt that we could really get the attention from the student body. After talking with the athletic director Al Cooper we decided we would try to work with the athletic department when needed. Pitch day... After we had finished our slide presentation which included goals, logistics, and plans we practiced our pitch for the big day. When the day came the presentation went great and We got great feedback and reassurance on our project. We also got a great idea to design a shirt that got students into all senior nights and homecoming events free. We got right to work on the shirt as an initial project. This would also get us funds for future projects. Initial thoughts... I think that NPSN will be a Huge success and really increase student pride. After even more thought we decided to use NPSN to promote any athletic event or promotion. We will also be able to spread some light on teams that normally don't get as much attention. Another way to do this is through our most recent idea of interviewing athletes in the hallway to give our athletes more school exposer.
